Adani Power Limited announced that its subsidiary received a major electricity supply contract from Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL).
The company’s subsidiary, Moxie Power Generation Ltd. (MPGL), will supply 558 MW of power to Tamil Nadu for five years.
Power Supply Starts in April 2026
The electricity supply will begin on April 1, 2026. MPGL won the contract through a competitive bidding process. The company offered a tariff of ₹5.910 per unit, making it the lowest bidder.
MPGL operates a 1,200 MW thermal power plant in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. The plant includes two generating units of 600 MW each. Both units now have confirmed power supply agreements.
Boost to Long-Term Revenue Stability
Adani Power stated that over 95 percent of its operating capacity now runs under medium- and long-term contracts. These agreements improve revenue visibility and reduce market risks.
The company aims to secure power purchase agreements for all operational plants. This strategy supports stable growth and operational efficiency.
