Hyderabad (Telangana), February 20:
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticised the Telangana government over alleged governance failures and welcomed educationist Saugani Komarayya into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and policies continue to attract people to the party.
Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, Sanjay said Komarayya’s decision strengthens the BJP in Telangana. He added that the party’s ideology and development agenda have increased public support across the state.
Saugani Komarayya Joins BJP
Sanjay praised Saugani Komarayya, who runs Vivekananda educational institutions and serves as a corporator. He said Komarayya has shaped the future of thousands of students through his educational initiatives.
“It is a matter of happiness that Saugani Komarayya has joined the BJP. The party is growing stronger in Telangana,” Sanjay said.
He also highlighted BJP’s success in securing the Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts in Karimnagar Municipal Corporation. He described Karimnagar as the “heart of Telangana” and a region known for movements and struggles.
Criticism of Telangana Government
The Union Minister strongly criticised the Congress-led Telangana government. He alleged that governance has suffered under the current administration.
Sanjay claimed that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy focuses more on visiting New Delhi than addressing state issues. He said the government has failed to monitor key administrative matters.
He further alleged that delays in releasing benefits to retired employees have caused distress. According to him, non-payment of dues for the past two years has severely affected pensioners.
Allegations Over Fee Reimbursement Delay
Sanjay also accused the state government of harassing students by not releasing fee reimbursement funds on time. He said many students face financial difficulties due to the delay.
He urged the government to prioritise students’ welfare and clear pending dues immediately.
BJP’s Growing Presence in Telangana
The Union Minister expressed confidence that more leaders and public representatives will join the BJP in the coming months. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance model and welfare schemes for the party’s expanding base in Telangana.
Political observers note that the BJP has been strengthening its organisational structure in the state, particularly in regions like Karimnagar and Hyderabad.
The latest development signals intensifying political competition in Telangana ahead of future electoral battles.
