Kuwait City, March 10: The Embassy of India in Kuwait has confirmed that all consular services are operating normally despite rising tensions in the Gulf region following the ongoing US-Israel and Iran conflict.
In an official notice issued on Tuesday, the embassy said that its Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) across Kuwait remain open and continue to provide services to Indian citizens. However, the centres are currently operating under Ramadan working hours from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, except on Fridays.
Indian Consular Services Operating Normally
The Indian Embassy reassured the Indian community in Kuwait that consular operations are continuing without disruption.
“All consular services of the Embassy are continuing as usual. The Embassy’s four Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) are operational following Ramadan working hours,” the official statement said.
The announcement comes at a time when tensions in the Gulf region have escalated due to the widening conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
Locations of Indian Consular Application Centres in Kuwait
The embassy operates four Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) across Kuwait to assist Indian nationals with services such as passport renewal, visas, and other documentation.
The centres are located at:

Officials have also advised citizens to regularly check the embassy’s official website and social media platforms for the latest advisories and updates.
Gulf Conflict Raises Regional Security Concerns
The embassy’s statement comes amid a significant military escalation in the Gulf region. According to reports, Iran has launched several waves of missile and drone attacks targeting US and Israeli assets across West Asia.
Some Gulf countries, including the United Arab Emirates, have reportedly faced heavy missile barrages during the escalation.
The situation has also impacted global energy markets and regional transportation.
Strait of Hormuz Closure Impacts Global Oil Supply
Reports indicate that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared the Strait of Hormuz closed on February 28, disrupting nearly 20 percent of the global oil supply.
The conflict has also affected energy production in the region. Qatar’s LNG output has reportedly gone offline, while Saudi Arabia temporarily halted operations at the Ras Tanura refinery following a fire caused by intercepted debris.
As a result, Brent crude prices have surged above $80, and European gas prices have risen by nearly 50 percent.
Flight Disruptions and Evacuations
The conflict has also disrupted regional air travel. Several airlines, including Emirates and Etihad, have reduced their flight schedules due to security concerns and temporary airspace closures.
Thousands of transit passengers have been stranded in major regional hubs such as Doha.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has evacuated more than 52,000 Indian nationals from the Gulf region between March 1 and March 7.
The MEA has also established a Special Control Room to assist Indian citizens still present in the affected areas.
Embassy Advises Indians to Stay Updated
The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has advised citizens to stay alert and monitor official advisories. Authorities stressed that all updates related to safety, travel, and consular services will be shared through official communication channels.
Despite the regional tensions, the embassy reiterated that consular services remain fully operational to support the Indian community in Kuwait.
