Advisory Follows Israel-US Military Operation
The safety warning comes after Israel and the United States launched a coordinated military operation, reportedly named Operation Roaring Lion, targeting Iranian military installations and missile production facilities. Reports indicate that several locations in southern Tehran experienced powerful explosions following the strikes.
The operation has significantly heightened tensions in the Middle East, triggering fears of a broader regional conflict.
Regional Emergency Measures Intensified
Following the attacks, Israel declared a nationwide state of emergency and activated air-raid sirens across the country. Hospitals were moved to underground facilities as precautionary measures.
Meanwhile, Iran, Israel, and Iraq temporarily closed their airspace, leading to widespread flight suspensions across the region. Communication disruptions and weakened internet connectivity have also been reported in parts of Tehran.
Indian Embassy in Jordan Issues Similar Warning
Earlier, the Indian Embassy in Jordan also issued an advisory urging Indian nationals and tourists to remain cautious and consider leaving the country before commercial flight operations face disruption.
Officials advised citizens to follow local authority guidelines and remain connected with Indian diplomatic missions for assistance.
Global Concerns Rise Over Escalation
The military escalation comes amid stalled nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States. International observers warn that continued retaliatory actions could destabilize the wider West Asian region.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs continues to monitor developments closely and may release further advisories depending on the evolving security situation.
