Tehran, March 25, 2026 — Iran has firmly denied any ongoing negotiations with the United States, contradicting recent claims by former US President Donald Trump that peace talks were underway.

According to reports, he said:
“The current war is the result of America’s betrayal of the negotiations.”
Moreover, he dismissed any suggestion of peace overtures, reinforcing Iran’s firm stance amid the ongoing conflict.
Israel Also Denies Knowledge of Talks
Meanwhile, Israel’s envoy to the United Nations, Danny Danon, said he was unaware of any negotiations involving Israel, Iran, and the United States.
He emphasized that military operations are still ongoing and that Israel remains focused on preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities.
Trump Earlier Signalled Possible Deal
Earlier, Donald Trump claimed that negotiations with Iran were in progress and suggested that the conflict could soon come to an end.
He also stated that Iran’s military capabilities had been significantly weakened. However, these claims have not been confirmed by Iranian officials.
Conflict Continues Despite Diplomatic Claims
Despite talk of possible peace, tensions in West Asia remain high:
- Israel continues strikes on Iranian targets
- Iran has launched multiple retaliatory attacks
- Diplomatic efforts remain uncertain
As a result, the situation on the ground contradicts claims of imminent peace.
Peace Remains Uncertain
With both Iran and Israel denying active negotiations and military operations ongoing, prospects for immediate de-escalation appear limited.
Therefore, the region continues to face instability, with global implications for energy markets and geopolitical security.
Iran’s rejection of US negotiation claims highlights the widening gap between diplomatic statements and ground realities. While political leaders hint at peace, ongoing military actions suggest that a resolution remains distant.
