New Delhi / Tel Aviv, February 28:
Israeli military officials confirmed that Israel remains in constant contact with its regional allies following the country’s pre-emptive military strikes against Iran, amid rapidly escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Officials said Israel continues to share updates with partner nations. They added that several allies cooperate with Israel on regional defence matters.
“We remain in contact with our allies in the region and keep them updated,” military officials stated.
Israel Appreciates Support From India
Israeli officials also expressed appreciation for India and its people. They highlighted long-standing relations between the two countries.
“We love the Indian people and truly value their support,” an official said during the briefing.
Operation Aimed at Removing Security Threats
Defence Minister Israel Katz confirmed that Israel launched the strikes as a pre-emptive action. The government aims to remove threats against the country’s security.
Military officials identified three major concerns:
- Nuclear capability
- Ballistic missile expansion
- Proxy group activities
According to officials, intelligence reports showed rapid growth in Iran’s missile production programme. They warned that delaying action could increase future risks.
Explosions Reported in Tehran
Reports confirmed explosions in parts of Tehran following the strikes. The escalation came after weeks of stalled diplomatic negotiations and growing military build-up in the region.
US President Donald Trump later confirmed that American forces began combat operations targeting Iranian military infrastructure.
Regional Situation Remains Tense
Security experts believe the conflict may destabilize the wider Middle East. Governments worldwide continue to monitor developments closely. Diplomatic efforts are ongoing to prevent further escalation.
