Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has hailed the upcoming inauguration of Phase I of the Noida International Airport as a transformative milestone for the state’s development.
“Runway for Development”
Ahead of the inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Yogi described the Jewar airport as a “runway for Uttar Pradesh’s development.”
In a statement shared on social media, he emphasized that the airport will:
- Boost economic growth
- Create new opportunities for youth
- Strengthen regional connectivity
He also praised the Prime Minister’s vision for turning the ambitious infrastructure project into reality.
A Major Milestone for ‘New Uttar Pradesh’
Furthermore, CM Yogi highlighted that the project marks a golden milestone in the journey of a “New Uttar Pradesh” within a “New India.”
He noted that:
- The airport will help turn aspirations into opportunities
- It will play a key role in attracting investments
- It will elevate the state’s global connectivity
Additionally, he extended gratitude to farmers whose contributions made the project possible.
Boost to NCR and National Connectivity
The Noida International Airport is being developed as a major international gateway for the National Capital Region (NCR).
Importantly, it will serve as the second international airport for the region, working alongside the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
As a result:
- Passenger congestion will reduce
- Aviation capacity will expand
- Delhi NCR will strengthen its global aviation position
