New Delhi | January 15:
Google has launched Personal Intelligence in its Gemini app to deliver a more personalised user experience. With this update, the company aims to make Gemini more helpful and context-aware.
On Wednesday, Google CEO Sundar Pichai shared the announcement on social media. He said the feature responds to one of the top requests from Gemini users.
How Personal Intelligence Works
Personal Intelligence allows users to securely connect Gemini with select Google apps. As a result, the app delivers more relevant and customised responses.
Moreover, the feature combines advanced reasoning with precise information retrieval. For example, Gemini can extract details from emails or photos to generate tailored answers.
Pichai Highlights User-Centric Design
In his post, Pichai said Google designed the feature to improve everyday interactions.
Accordingly, Gemini now understands user context more effectively.
He added that Personal Intelligence enables the app to analyse complex information while retrieving specific details for personalised responses.
Privacy Remains a Key Focus
Importantly, Google has placed privacy at the centre of the new feature. Users retain complete control over their data and app connections.
Furthermore, all app connections remain off by default. Users must manually choose which Google apps to link with Gemini.
Beta Rollout and Availability
Currently, Google has rolled out the feature as a beta. The company has begun the rollout for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the United States.
Additionally, users can access the feature on web, Android, and iOS platforms. Google plans to expand availability to more regions soon.
