He alleged that people in the state are facing insecurity and claimed that change is now inevitable.

The Prime Minister reiterated his promise of a “double engine government”, where both the Centre and the state are governed by the same party.
According to him, this would:

Polling for the 294-member West Bengal Assembly will take place in two phases:
- April 23, 2026
- April 29, 2026
The counting of votes is scheduled for May 4, 2026.
