Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh | March 12, 2026: President Droupadi Murmu will visit the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on March 19. District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde confirmed the visit and said authorities have started preparations.
The visit will take place on the first day of the Hindu New Year, making the occasion important for devotees across the country.
CM Yogi Adityanath to Review Preparations
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also visit Ayodhya to review the arrangements. Senior officials from several departments have already held meetings.
District Magistrate Funde said officials from the administration, police, and other departments attended the review meeting. Authorities have given clear instructions to every department.
Officials aim to conduct the program smoothly and safely on March 19.
No VVIP Passes for Temple Darshan
The administration has decided not to issue VVIP or special passes during the President’s visit. Officials want to avoid inconvenience for regular devotees.
Temple authorities will start darshan one hour earlier on that day. Devotees will also get darshan until late at night.
Officials will stop darshan only for a short time when the President performs puja at the temple.
After the visit, authorities will resume darshan immediately.
Administration Ensures Smooth Arrangements
Officials expect a large number of devotees to visit the temple on the first day of the Hindu New Year. The administration has made special arrangements to manage the crowd.
Police and administrative teams will remain deployed across the temple area to maintain security and order.
Ayodhya DM Clarifies LPG Supply Situation
District Magistrate Funde also addressed rumors about a shortage of domestic LPG cylinders in Ayodhya.
He clearly stated that no shortage of domestic gas cylinders exists in the district.
However, some areas in the country have reported shortages of commercial LPG cylinders. The issue emerged due to supply disruptions linked to tensions in West Asia.
Government Increases LPG Production
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said domestic LPG production has increased by about 25 percent. Authorities are directing the entire domestic LPG supply to household consumers.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has also activated a 24-hour control room to monitor the situation.
Ayodhya is now preparing for the President’s visit with security arrangements and administrative planning in place.
