New Delhi, January 5: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday in New Delhi. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s official residence.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) shared photos of the meeting on social media platform X. The post confirmed the interaction between the two leaders.

Focus on Governance and Development
While officials did not release details of the discussion, such meetings usually focus on governance and development. They also help strengthen coordination between the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh government.
Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Modi regularly meet to review ongoing projects and policy matters related to the state.
CM Yogi Pays Tribute to Kalyan Singh
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh on his birth anniversary. He praised Kalyan Singh’s contribution to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
Speaking at an event in Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath said Kalyan Singh sacrificed his Chief Minister’s post without hesitation. He did so to respect the sentiments of Lord Ram’s devotees.
Remembering Kalyan Singh’s Legacy
CM Yogi said Kalyan Singh’s tenure reflected strong governance and a nationalist vision. He added that Singh played a key role in Uttar Pradesh’s development.
In a post on X, Yogi Adityanath described Kalyan Singh as a steadfast warrior of the Ram Temple movement. He highlighted his devotion, sacrifice, and administrative resolve.
Kalyan Singh passed away on August 21, 2021, at SGPGI in Lucknow. He served twice as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and later as Governor of Rajasthan. He also held several important roles within the BJP.
Kalyan Singh resigned as Chief Minister after the Babri Masjid demolition in 1992. The central government dismissed the Uttar Pradesh government the same day. Despite legal proceedings, his political legacy remains significant.
