Haridwar, March 7: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the state successfully implemented investment agreements worth ₹1 lakh crore last year. He made the announcement while addressing a public gathering in Haridwar during an event celebrating four years of the Uttarakhand government.
The programme, titled “Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar: Char Saal Bemisaal,” highlighted the development achievements of the state government.
Global Investors Summit Boosted Investments
CM Dhami said the Global Investors Summit 2023 played a major role in attracting investment to the state.
According to him, the summit resulted in investment agreements worth ₹3.56 lakh crore.
“We are proud that investment agreements worth ₹1 lakh crore were implemented on the ground last year,” Dhami said.
He added that these investments have helped strengthen the state’s economy and create new opportunities for employment.
Event Marked Four Years of Uttarakhand Government
The event in Haridwar marked the completion of four years of the BJP government in Uttarakhand.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the programme as the chief guest. Chief Minister Dhami welcomed him at Jolly Grant Airport before the event began.
A large number of people gathered in Haridwar to attend the ceremony.
BJP Driving Development Across India
During his speech, Dhami praised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for promoting development across the country.
He said the BJP has become the largest political party in the world and continues to strengthen the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”
The Chief Minister also highlighted several national initiatives taken by the central government, including the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said these decisions helped strengthen national unity and improve security.
Leaders Honoured During the Ceremony
During the programme, the Chief Minister presented Amit Shah with a traditional cap and memento, reflecting Uttarakhand’s cultural heritage.
The event was also attended by Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat, who addressed the gathering.
Officials said the programme showcased the development projects, governance reforms, and economic progress achieved in Uttarakhand over the past four years.
The presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted the central government’s support for the state’s development agenda.
