Delhi LG Taranjit Singh Sandhu Meets Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan at Uprashtrapati Bhavan

New Delhi, March 14: Newly appointed Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu met C. P. Radhakrishnan at the Uprashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

During the meeting, Sandhu expressed gratitude to the Vice President for his guidance and warm welcome after assuming office as the new Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

Sandhu Shares Meeting on Social Media

After the meeting, Sandhu shared a message on social media thanking the Vice President. He stated that he was grateful for the warmth and valuable advice he received during the interaction.

The meeting came shortly after Sandhu assumed office as the Lieutenant Governor of the national capital.

Meeting with President Droupadi Murmu

Earlier, Sandhu also met Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

During the meeting, he received guidance and encouragement from the President regarding his new responsibilities. Sandhu thanked her for her support and advice for the road ahead.

Sandhu Takes Oath as Delhi Lieutenant Governor

Taranjit Singh Sandhu recently took oath as the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. The oath ceremony took place in the presence of Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya, who administered the oath.

His appointment is part of a major administrative reshuffle involving Governors and Lieutenant Governors across India.

Under this reshuffle, Sandhu replaced Vinai Kumar Saxena, who has now been appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.

Focus on Development of Delhi

Speaking to reporters earlier, Sandhu described Delhi as his “karmabhoomi”, highlighting his long association with the national capital.

He emphasized the need for a solution-oriented approach and cooperation among all stakeholders to address the challenges faced by the city.

Sandhu said that Delhi, being the capital of India, has multiple stakeholders and responsibilities. He added that collaboration across political lines is necessary to ensure the city’s development.

He also highlighted the vision of Narendra Modi for the country and stressed that the central government, the elected Delhi government, and other stakeholders must work together.

According to Sandhu, challenges will continue to grow in a major city like Delhi. However, he expressed confidence that with collective efforts, these challenges can be transformed into opportunities for progress.
