Importance of Harvest Festivals in India
Magh Bihu, one of Assam’s major harvest festivals, marks the end of the harvesting season. People celebrate it with community feasts and traditional customs.
Likewise, Lohri, Pongal, Makar Sankranti, and Uttarayan showcase India’s cultural diversity. Each festival celebrates agriculture in its own unique way.
In northern India, Lohri celebrations include bonfires, folk songs, and traditional food. As a result, the festival creates a warm and joyful atmosphere.
Overall, these harvest festivals highlight India’s deep connection with nature, farming, and unity.
