Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday extended warm Lohri greetings to people across the state. He wished them happiness, prosperity, good health, and fresh energy.
In a post on social media platform X, the Chief Minister shared his message with citizens. He highlighted the joy and enthusiasm linked with the festival.
“Heartfelt greetings to all state residents on the auspicious festival of Lohri. May this festival bring happiness, prosperity, good health, and new energy into your lives,” Dhami wrote.
Meanwhile, National Leaders Also Share Wishes
Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu conveyed her greetings on Lohri and other harvest festivals. She described these occasions as symbols of India’s agricultural heritage and unity.
Moreover, the President expressed gratitude towards nature and farmers. She added that these festivals spread happiness and prosperity nationwide.
Similarly, Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended his wishes on Lohri. He called the festival a symbol of enthusiasm and positive energy.
In addition, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge shared his greetings. He said Lohri brings joy, celebration, and prosperity to society.
Significance of Lohri Festival
Lohri marks the harvest season in northern India. Therefore, people celebrate it with bonfires, folk songs, and traditional food.
Along with Pongal, Makar Sankranti, Uttarayan, and Magh Bihu, Lohri reflects India’s cultural diversity. As a result, these festivals promote unity and gratitude.
