The doors of Kedarnath Dham opened on Wednesday with full rituals. Devotees gathered in large numbers to witness the sacred moment. This marks the beginning of the Char Dham Yatra 2026.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed pilgrims on this occasion. He described the yatra as a “divine celebration of faith, unity, and tradition.”

PM Modi took to X to share his message. He wished devotees a safe and blessed journey.
He said the Kedarnath and Char Dham Yatra reflect India’s spiritual strength. Moreover, he added that these journeys connect people with eternal culture.
He also wrote a letter to devotees visiting Uttarakhand. In it, he prayed for everyone’s well-being. He concluded his message with “Har Har Mahadev.”

Spiritual Importance of Char Dham Yatra
