On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party is aiming to form the government after its strong performance in the previous elections, where it secured 77 seats.
Both parties have intensified their campaigns, focusing on governance, development, and public welfare. The outcome of this election will significantly influence the political landscape of the state.
Counting Date and Expectations
The counting of votes for the West Bengal Assembly elections will take place on May 4, 2026. Political parties and analysts are closely watching voter turnout and early trends, as they may indicate the direction of the final results.
As Phase 1 polling continues, political leaders remain confident about their prospects. BJP leader Boora Narsaiah Goud’s statement reflects the party’s strong belief in gaining power in West Bengal. However, the final outcome will depend on voter participation and preferences across constituencies.
