RCB Strengthens 200+ Chase Reputation

Chasing 206, RCB faced an early setback when Jacob Bethell was dismissed, leaving the team at 26/1. However, Virat Kohli played a crucial knock of 81 runs off 44 balls, stabilizing the innings.
Devdutt Padikkal provided excellent support with a quickfire 55 runs off 27 balls. The duo built a strong partnership of 115 runs, ensuring the required run rate remained under control.
Their partnership laid the foundation for a successful chase and kept RCB firmly in the contest.
Middle-Order Pressure and Comeback
Despite a solid start, RCB lost momentum in the middle overs as Gujarat Titans bowlers made a comeback. Rashid Khan and Manav Suthar picked up important wickets, reducing RCB to 175/5 after 16 overs.
With 31 runs needed off the final four overs, the match was evenly poised, and pressure started building on RCB’s lower order.
Krunal Pandya Finishes the Game
Krunal Pandya emerged as the match-winner for RCB, scoring an unbeaten 23 runs off 12 balls. He played aggressive shots and took control of the chase in the death overs.
He scored crucial runs in the 18th over, shifting the momentum completely in RCB’s favour. Tim David also contributed with a steady unbeaten 10 runs.
Krunal sealed the victory in the 19th over as RCB reached 206/5 in 18.5 overs, completing one of the most memorable chases of IPL 2026.
