New Delhi, June 24: Delhi Power Minister Ashish Sood has launched a large-scale campaign against Delhi illegal electricity connections, directing power distribution companies (discoms) and enforcement agencies to take strict action against electricity theft across the national capital. The initiative is aimed at reducing power losses, protecting public revenue, and ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to genuine consumers.

The first phase of the operation has already produced encouraging results in Kamruddin Nagar, one of Delhi’s most affected areas for power theft. The government has announced that similar enforcement drives will soon be carried out in other high-loss localities.
