PM Modi to Hoist Saffron Flag
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 25 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described today’s flag-hoisting ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple as a “renaissance of Sanatan culture.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the sacred saffron flag on the 191-foot-high shikhara of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The ceremony is scheduled for noon, after his visit to several temples inside the complex at 10 am.
A Historic Cultural Moment
The flag-hoisting marks the completion of the temple’s construction and the beginning of a new phase of cultural celebration and unity. PM Modi will also address the gathering.
In an X post, CM Yogi said that a grand saffron flag will rise over the spire of the temple from the Prime Minister’s hands.
He added that this moment fills Bharat with spiritual energy. According to him, the devotion of crores of Ram bhakts is reaching a new peak today.
Yogi Adityanath’s Welcome Messages
The Chief Minister praised the Prime Minister, calling him the architect of “New India.”
He wrote that Shri Ayodhya Dham welcomes PM Modi, the revered saints, and all dignitaries gathered for this historic event.
RSS chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat will also attend the ceremony. CM Yogi extended a warm welcome to him and described Ayodhya as the land of unwavering faith and Sanatan Dharma.
Ayodhya Welcomes Devotees and Guests
Yogi Adityanath also welcomed saints, religious scholars, and devotees arriving from across India and abroad.
He said that their presence gives new strength to the nation’s cultural revival.
Auspicious Timing for the Ceremony
The programme takes place on Panchami of Shukla Paksha in the month of Margashirsha.
It coincides with the Abhijit Muhurat of Shri Ram and Maa Sita’s Vivah Panchami, a day that symbolises divine union.
Voices From the Gathering
Devotees and invitees chanted slogans as they reached Ayodhya for the ceremony and for Ram Lalla’s darshan.
Lakshmi Devi, an invitee from Balrampur, said she felt blessed to receive the invitation. She came with a group of 32 people and expressed deep joy and gratitude.
Symbolism of the ‘Dharma Dhwaj’
The sacred flag carries three symbols:
- Om – the eternal spiritual sound
- The Sun – representing Lord Ram’s Suryavansh heritage
- The Kovidara Tree – a hybrid of Mandar and Parijat created by Rishi Kashyap, showcasing ancient plant-science knowledge
These symbols represent values rooted in the Sanatan tradition.
