Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that 2025 will be remembered as a landmark year for innovation in technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and data. He called for increased investment and wider adoption of AI across the state.
In an open letter addressed to the citizens of Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister said the state is setting new benchmarks in technology-driven development. According to him, strong governance has helped build global trust in Brand UP.
AI City Planned in Lucknow and Noida
Meanwhile, CM Yogi revealed that preparations are underway to establish AI Cities in Lucknow and Noida. These cities will promote innovation, research, and employment in AI and digital technologies.
Additionally, he stated that 10 lakh citizens are receiving AI training under the AI Pragya initiative. This program focuses on awareness, skill development, and youth empowerment.
Major Investments in Data Centres and Semiconductors
Furthermore, the Chief Minister highlighted that a ₹3,700 crore semiconductor unit is being developed in Jewar. At the same time, five hyperscale data centre parks have already started commercial operations.
As a result, Uttar Pradesh aims to attract ₹30,000 crore investment in the data centre sector. The state’s data centre policy focuses on secure and indigenous data storage.
Jobs, Training, and Industry Growth
In addition, software technology parks have been set up in nine cities. CM Yogi said the state is also making rapid progress in drones, robotics, and mobile manufacturing. These initiatives are creating thousands of new jobs.
Earlier this month, the Chief Minister met Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran to discuss investment opportunities in AI, IT, electronics, and defence manufacturing.
Message to the Youth
Finally, CM Yogi urged the youth to take responsibility for spreading digital knowledge. He appealed to young people to educate at least five children about computers and AI in 2026. He also encouraged them to dedicate one hour every week to knowledge sharing.
