Ahead of the presentation of the Uttar Pradesh Budget 2026-27, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday called the upcoming budget a “decennial testament” to the state’s development journey.
The UP government will present the budget in the Uttar Pradesh Legislature on Wednesday.
CM Yogi Highlights “New Uttar Pradesh in a New India”
In a post on X, CM Yogi said Uttar Pradesh has witnessed major transformation over the last ten years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said the state has experienced unprecedented development and prosperity during this decade.
“Under the illustrious leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the new Uttar Pradesh of a new India is witnessing an unprecedented decade of development and prosperity,” CM Yogi wrote.
10th Consecutive Budget Under Yogi Government
CM Yogi said his government is set to present the budget for the 10th consecutive time in the Uttar Pradesh Legislature.
He added that the budget reflects the commitment of his government to the aspirations of 25 crore citizens of the state.
He described the budget for the financial year 2026-27 as a reflection of the government’s sustained efforts toward inclusive development.
Budget to Focus on Self-Reliant and Developed Uttar Pradesh
In another post, CM Yogi said Uttar Pradesh is steadily moving towards becoming a strong, self-reliant, and prosperous state.
He said the policies focus on good governance, inclusive development, and public welfare.
According to him, the e-budget 2026-27 will present a clear vision and a concrete action plan to achieve the goal of a “Self-reliant and Developed Uttar Pradesh.”
Target of USD 1 Trillion Economy
CM Yogi further said the budget will help accelerate progress towards the state’s goal of building a USD 1 trillion economy.
He stated that the budget will focus on:
- dignity of the poor
- empowerment of youth
- empowerment of women
- prosperity of farmers
He also linked the budget’s goals to the broader national vision of Developed India-2047.
UP Budget Session Began on February 9
Earlier, on February 9, the Uttar Pradesh Assembly budget session began with the Governor’s address.
The session is scheduled to conclude on February 20.
