Riyadh, March 20: Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud strongly criticized Iran for its actions in West Asia and the Gulf region. He said the attacks violate international law and go against Islamic teachings.
He made these remarks during a press conference in Riyadh after meeting foreign ministers from Arab and Islamic countries.
Strong Condemnation of Iran’s Actions
The Saudi Foreign Minister condemned Iran’s attacks on Saudi Arabia, Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and other allied nations.
He said Iran continues to destabilize the region and poses a direct threat to global peace.
He stated, “We have repeatedly warned against escalation to protect regional stability and promote peaceful solutions.”
Violation of International Law and Islamic Values
Faisal bin Farhan said Iran’s actions violate international agreements and the principles of good neighborliness.
He added that such aggression contradicts the core teachings of Islam and weakens unity among Islamic nations.
He also rejected Iran’s attempts to deny responsibility for attacks on civilian areas and infrastructure.
Impact on Global Security and Economy
The minister highlighted attacks on commercial ships in the Arabian Gulf and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
He warned that these actions threaten global trade, energy supplies, and food security.
He said such disruptions could harm developing countries the most.
Call for Global Action
Faisal bin Farhan urged immediate action against Iran’s aggression. He called for the implementation of international resolutions, including United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817.
He also asked Iran to stop supporting proxy groups and abandon hostile policies.
Continued Regional Coordination
