Tehran, March 21: Iran issued a strong warning to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), cautioning against allowing its territory to be used for attacks targeting Iran.
Warning Over Use of UAE Territory
The statement came from Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Iran’s top operational command.
Spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaqari said Iran would respond firmly to any aggression. He warned that if attacks originate from UAE soil, Iran could target areas such as Ras Al Khaimah.
Focus on Strategic Islands
Iran specifically referred to the disputed islands of Abu Musa and Greater Tunb in the Persian Gulf.
These islands hold strategic importance and remain a point of tension between Iran and the UAE.
Escalation Amid Ongoing Conflict
The warning comes during Iran’s ongoing military campaign, Operation True Promise 4, amid rising tensions with the United States and Israel.
Iran claimed it has already targeted several US-linked military facilities across the region.
UAE Responds to Missile Threats
The UAE Ministry of Defence stated that its air defence systems intercepted multiple threats, including ballistic missiles and drones launched from Iran.
Officials confirmed that several attacks have caused casualties and injuries.
Iran Signals “Zero Restraint”
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that Tehran would show “zero restraint” if its infrastructure is attacked.
He stated that Iran would respond strongly to any further escalation.
Rising Regional Tensions
The situation highlights increasing tensions in the Gulf region. Military actions and warnings from both sides have raised concerns about a wider conflict.
Experts warn that continued escalation could impact global security and energy routes.
