Tehran, March 25, 2026 — Iran’s military leadership has sharply criticized claims by former US President Donald Trump regarding ongoing negotiations, saying the United States appears to be “negotiating with itself” amid rising tensions in West Asia.
Iran Rejects US Negotiation Claims
A spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbia Headquarters dismissed Trump’s remarks in a video shared by Fars News Agency.
The spokesperson mocked the US position, stating that internal conflicts have reached a point where “Americans are negotiating with themselves.”
Furthermore, he warned Washington not to present its setbacks as diplomatic success.
Strong Warning From Iranian Military
The Iranian military issued a firm message, emphasizing that it will not accept any agreement under pressure.
According to the spokesperson:
- The US has suffered a “strategic defeat”
- Iran will not allow regional stability on US terms
- Any aggression against Iran will face strong retaliation
Additionally, he stressed that Iran’s stance remains unchanged and uncompromising.
No Possibility of Immediate Peace
The spokesperson made it clear that Iran will not engage in negotiations with US-Israel forces under current conditions.
He asserted that stability in the region would only come through Iran’s military strength. As a result, the chances of immediate peace appear limited.
Trump Earlier Claimed Talks Underway
Earlier, Donald Trump had stated that negotiations with Iran were ongoing and that the conflict could soon end.
He also claimed that Iran’s military capabilities had been significantly weakened. However, Iran has denied any such talks.
Tensions Continue to Escalate
Meanwhile, Iran has continued its military operations, including the recent launch of the 80th wave of retaliatory strikes.
On the other hand, diplomatic efforts remain uncertain, with no official confirmation of negotiations from the Iranian side.
Therefore, the situation in West Asia remains highly volatile.
Iran’s strong response highlights the deep divide between both sides. While the US signals possible negotiations, Iran’s military stance suggests that a resolution remains distant.
For now, escalating rhetoric and continued military actions indicate that peace in the region is still uncertain.
