Benjamin Netanyahu has said that ongoing military operations against Iran have crossed the halfway mark. He added that the focus has now shifted to securing Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile.
Mission Progresses Beyond Midpoint
In an interview with Newsmax, Netanyahu expressed confidence in the joint efforts of United States and Israel. He stated that forces have made significant progress in weakening Iran’s military and nuclear capabilities.
He said operations have already reduced missile strength, destroyed weapons factories, and targeted key personnel linked to Iran’s nuclear programme.
Focus on Enriched Uranium
Netanyahu highlighted that the current phase targets Iran’s enriched uranium reserves. He described this as a critical step to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
He also mentioned that Donald Trump has called for removing the uranium stockpile. The plan may involve handing it over to international authorities.
Strategic Goal: Prevent Future Threats
Netanyahu said the operation aims to prevent future threats to Israel, the United States, and their allies. He warned that Iran seeks nuclear weapons and delivery systems capable of reaching major cities.
He stressed that stopping this development remains the central objective of the mission.
Iran Weakened, Alliance Strengthened
According to Netanyahu, Iran is emerging weaker from the conflict. He claimed that the US-Israel alliance is gaining strength with continued military success.
He did not give a timeline for the end of operations but said progress remains steady and goals are within reach.
