In a significant gesture of devotion, noted industrialist Mahendra Sharma donated ₹1.01 crore to the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) at Badrinath Dham on Friday.
Major Contribution to Temple Development
Mahendra Sharma handed over the cheque during a formal event attended by temple officials and members.
Hemant Dwivedi, Chairman of BKTC, welcomed Sharma and expressed gratitude for his generous contribution.
He stated that Sharma has been associated with the temple committee for more than a decade. Moreover, he highlighted Sharma’s continuous efforts in supporting pilgrimage infrastructure across India.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahendra Sharma said that his donation reflects his deep faith in Lord Badrinath and Kedarnath.

He stated that the government has ensured proper arrangements for pilgrims, including safety, cleanliness, and infrastructure.

With the opening of Badrinath Dham, the Char Dham Yatra 2026 has officially commenced.
