Visit Not Linked to Polls, Says BJP Leader
West Medinipur (West Bengal), December 20:
BJP leader Dilip Ghosh said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to West Bengal is focused on development and should not be linked to elections. He said the Prime Minister regularly travels across India to review and inaugurate development projects.
“Many people are linking this visit to elections. However, Prime Minister Modi travels across the country only for development programmes,” Ghosh said.
Long-Pending Road Project to Benefit People
Dilip Ghosh highlighted the long-pending road project between Barasat and Barajaguli. The road stretch is around 17–18 kilometres long. It has remained incomplete for nearly 10 to 15 years.
He said the project faced delays earlier because the state government did not clear land. “Now the road will finally be built. It will benefit everyone,” he added.
