Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir), June 25: Operation Sheruwali Rajouri has entered its 34th day as security forces continue extensive search and surveillance operations in the dense forests of the Dorimal-Gambhir Mughlan region in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district. The prolonged counter-terrorism operation reflects the determination of the Indian security establishment to eliminate terrorist threats and ensure peace in the sensitive border district.

The ongoing Operation Sheruwali Rajouri is being jointly conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), the Indian Army, and other security agencies. Earlier Mine Blast Injured Army Personnel

During the ongoing security operations in the region, an accidental mine blast occurred near the Line of Control in the forward Kalal area of the Nowshera sector on June 16.

According to Jammu and Kashmir Police officials, the incident took place at around 11 am when troops of the 4 Kumaon Regiment were conducting a routine patrol near the LoC.

The explosion injured one Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) and three Army personnel. The injured soldiers received immediate first aid before being evacuated to the Army’s Command Hospital in Udhampur for specialised treatment.

Officials clarified that the mine blast was accidental and occurred during regular operational movement in the forward area.

Even as Operation Sheruwali Rajouri enters its 34th day, security forces continue to remain on maximum alert. Additional deployment has been maintained across sensitive locations to ensure that militants do not exploit any opportunity to escape the operational zone.
